Part of caring for the wild outdoors is to include all forms of wildlife.  With this in mind we're happy to make available to the public our newest concoction, our Birds & Bees Kit.  This kit creates a colorful conglomeration of savored blossoms and seeds that will be relished by all of your pollinators and avian species.  With bird mortality at an all-time high (loss of nesting habitat and predation by everything from cats to bats), required habitat becomes even more crucial to birds' survival.  Likewise, honey bee populations across the nation have drastically declined in the last few years due to the parasitc bug the Varroa mite, and the newest ailment to strike bees, Colony Collapse Disorder.  When you realize that three-quartes of all flowering plants in the U.S. rely on pollinators for fertilization to bear "fruit", bee and pollinator survival suddenly becomes a major concern.  Our goal in creating a Birds & Bees Kit is to increase bird and bee survival through habitat creation or enhancement.

Like our Deer Kits, the Birds & Bees Kit is composed of 2 and 4 ounce flask-styled bottles, all carried in a durable 6 5/8" x 10 5/8" case.  Our intent is to have the annuals planted in rows on a perennial "base".  Where this kit differs is in its plot maintenance.  Since your goal is to produce mature blossoms and seed, maintenance of this style plot is more passive. Your Birds & Bees plot is maintained more like a hayfield, where mowing it no more than two or three times a year is suggested.  Unlike other micro-plot scenarios, weed suppression isn't always a major concern.  You'll learn that weeds can actually be a welcome part of you Birds & Bees plot and provide many flowers and blossoms themselves.  This kit supplies you with enough seed to plant one lush 30ft x 30ft plot.
